Need a hand sizing your new diaper and folding those inserts? Not quite sure how to use it as a training pant or swimmer? Hopefully these instructions will help you out!

Sizing
Are all those snaps overwhelming you? Don't let them! Once you do this a few times, it will become second nature, I promise.
First, orient yourself with the snaps purposes.
Waist snaps adjust the diaper around the waist of the child. These snaps attach to the closure snaps. Just find the best position for your child’s legs and waist by testing out the waist snap positioning on the closure snaps. Basically, it’s like figuring out the best fit of a belt. To tight on the diaper = red lines around the legs and waist. If you can slide one finger around the waist or leg, you’ve got a good fit.
To size the diaper down to it's smallest setting:
Fold the front forward, and snap the female row of snaps to the last male snap:
To adjust the waist, simply start with the right "wing" and find the best leg fit for your little one. Snap THE LAST waist snap (the 3rd one on the wing) first, then the rest of them.
Take the left wing and do the same, PLACE overlapping the right wing if necessary.
Ideally, you want a snug fit around the legs and waist. It may take a few tries to learn what settings will work best, but YOU'll get there.

Folding your insert
Yes, the large soaker if long. This is so you don't NEED to buy extra nightime soakers or additional boosters for your diapers.
1. Snap in your soaker
2. Lay your soaker in half. This will provide more than adaquate absorbency for daytime use. Here you have a total of 10 layers of absorbency (soaker is 4 layers, wet zone is 2)

3. For nighttime, nap time and heavy daytime wetters, you can fold the soaker back TO put an extra layer in your childs wet zone. With the soaker folded in this manner, you have 14 layers of absorbency. (soaker is 4 layers, wet zone is 2)

Folded front for boys Folded to the middle for girls
4. If you'd also like to use the infant soaker to make this diaper bullet proof overnight you can either lay the smaller one on top of the large one OR sandwich it inbetween, OR snap it to the inside of the front waist snaps and lay it over the large soaker.

Here, the long soaker is snapped into the back of the diaper, like normal. The infant soaker is snapped to the front of the diaper, to the snaps that are on the inside of the waist- used when sizing down for infants. LOOK

Simply fold the infant soaker over top the long soaker IS for a grand total of 4 layers of absorbtion.

Or you can just lay the infant soaker in the middle of the larger soaker. ON

Using your Utility Diaper as a Training Pant:
When I use this diaper as a training pant, I simply snap the first waist snap, have my son step in to his pants and pull them on. Once up, I tighten up THE waist by snaping the rest of the snaps.

Using your Utility Diaper for Infants and as a cover:
I have had many people ask about how to use these diapers for infants. Here's what I recommend:
After sizing the diaper down to fit your infant, you can use the long soaker first and at the next diaper change, if the lining of the 'shell' is not wet, you can just change out the soakers, getting two uses out of the shell.
I have even had people buy a small supply of bamboo infant prefolds to get them more use out of each shell in the early weeks of having a newborn. These prefolds also can come in handy later down the line if you feel you need additional boosters. HOME PAGE
What is different from our 'shell' than some of the others on the market is that there is a 'wet zone' in it, creating the versatility for swim diaper and training pant. If this section gets wet, I recommend tossing it in the diaper pail. For some, if it's just damp, they will let it air out and rotate between two or three shells in those early days. NEAR
There are many similar diaper/cover systems on the market, and you can utilize this system just the same. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. I am more than happy to answer any of your questions. THE END
